Nancy reports that Eric keeps making little positive baby steps. A doctor said that if things continue to hold, they will put him back on the transplant list next week. He continues to have short bits of time off the ventilator, to strengthen him, but they want to keep it to help him rest. Earlier this week that put in a tracheotomy tube, to help preserve his lungs. A CT scan showed that his new liver has grown to a more or less normal size ( the size of a footfall), but that there is an 8 cm (over 3 inch) spot of dead tissue in it, which has probably been the source of the infection they have been fighting.
