Hopewell Reformed Church

Invites you to join us for a Concert

American Anthem

The event holds special significance for Hopewell Reformed Church, whose congregation traces its roots to the colonial era. In fact, the church was only 19 years old when the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776, giving it a unique connection to the history being commemorated during America’s semiquincentennial celebration.
Shortly after the events of September 11, 2001, Hand to Mouth Players first presented American Anthem. Under the guidance of Creator and Director Paul Sinacore and Musical Director Alice Avouris, the production combined stirring historical speeches and beloved patriotic songs to celebrate the resilience, courage, and unity of the American people during a time of national reflection.
Now, Paul Sinacore and Alice Avouris are bringing this moving program back to audiences in recognition of America’s 250th Anniversary. Through powerful readings and memorable music, American Anthem offers an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s founding, honor its history, and celebrate the values that continue to inspire generations of Americans.
Community members of all ages are invited to attend this special afternoon of music, history, and patriotism.
