Also, I have had to come off of blood thinners (prescribed when I had my strokes 2+ yrs ago) for 5-7 days to be able to have dental surgery done this coming Monday morning. (1/31) Pray please for no side effects/problems. Thanks!

1) The young couple who are church planters in Hungary need your prayers. Rachel, who is 35 weeks pregnant with their 3rd child, developed Cholestasis of Pregnancy. Its symptoms are severe itching and can cause bad complications for the baby if not treated. She will be in the hospital Sunday. Meanwhile, her husband, Márton, is preaching Sunday morning and is not feeling well after all the stress.
2. Thank you for your prayers for Matthew, the student at Yale who had been in the hospital following a serious car accident. He is now recovering at home and starting 3-4 months of therapy.

(Sarah): Praise God for the junior high students' response to Kevin's talk at the Dakar, Senegal school chapel! They responded to his message about forgiveness by immediately going to their classmates with whom they had a disagreement. The activity in the room was phenomenal as the young people made amends with one another.

“On December 30th, my Dad fell and broke his hip (while visiting in FL. He still lives in GA). He had immediate surgery that day to replace the ball for his hip joint. He is now in a rehabilitation center (still in FL), but is not eating or drinking, is still completely disoriented, and has pulled out some of his tubes & catheter (causing bleeding and trips to the ER.). As a result, he is declining, rather than improving. He also now has Covid. Crazy how hard it is for me as a pastor to ask others for prayer, but I’m asking y’all remember my father in your prayers. He’s 83 years old and the Founding Pastor of Valley Christian Church, where I pastor today. Thank you!!!”

(Karen Nuessle): Thank you to all who have prayed for my son, Doug Jenks. His first Pet Scan after he started his bone marrow transplant treatment on October 27th showed a complete clean scan, no evidence of cancer. We praise the Lord for this report and are thankful. Please continue prayers for Doug as he will be under treatment with NYU for assessment of his blood counts for many more months. He and his wife, Janine will be living in the City until Feb. 15th. After the 15th, they will return to their home in Fishkill. Then they will commute to NYU for treatment checks.
Thank you to all who have been praying for me. My partial knee surgery was successful. I have been busy since doing PT exercise twice daily and icing often. PT says I'm doing well with my progress so far. Again praise God, we are thankful for Jesus healing hands.

(Laureen Friary): Update on Gombie: results from pet scan are positive. The cancer is shrinking in all organs and lymph nodes. He is still in MHRH ( he left for a couple of days, then readmitted). The treatment is very aggressive and he got COVID,etc but he is fighting and is encouraged.

Also, prayers needed for Matthew who is a student at Yale. He has been in the hospital at Yale for 3 days after a serious car accident. His parents who live here in Orange County hope to bring him home in 2 days where he will start 3-4 months of therapy.
